Rich is a Managing Director with three decades of leadership experience building finance organizations and partnering with leadership teams to execute strategic initiatives in companies ranging from rapidly expanding private equity-backed entities to large multi-national enterprises. Rich is differentiated by his operational experience as a CFO, with a focus on financial governance, M&A and capital raising transaction execution, and transformational business performance improvement.
Since joining Accordion, Rich has partnered with the management of private equity-backed companies to reorganize their finance functions, streamline complex business processes, improve financial reporting and operational visibility, and complete acquisition accounting for multiple transactions. Relevant industries include manufacturing, information technology and healthcare services. Prior to Accordion, Rich was CFO of Anova, a private equity-backed global information technology company providing remote monitoring of industrial assets to enhance safety and logistics. During his tenure he built a global finance organization, partnered with the executive team and sponsors to execute and integrate six acquisitions in two years, helped close a >$100M credit facility, and provided financial oversight while the company grew 300%.
Before joining Anova, Rich held various financial leadership positions at Dun & Bradstreet, including partnering with the business unit GM to drive growth, increase efficiency and maximize financial performance for their Worldwide Strategic Partnership Network. Also, as VP of International Re-engineering, he led a team responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to optimize efficiency across D&B’s International operations.
Prior to D&B, Rich was VP Finance at Bowne Global Solutions (BGS), where he helped transform the finance function, execute multiple M&A transactions and prepare the Company for ultimate carve out from its parent, Bowne & Co. Before BGS he was CFO at Telscape International, a NASDAQ listed telecommunications company with significant private equity backing, which experienced significant growth, both organically and through acquisition.
Rich began his career at EY working in the Assurance Services practice serving primarily Investment Banking clients and subsequently was Controller of the Corporate Fixed Income business unit for Credit Suisse.
Rich graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in Accounting and from New York university with an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business.
