Rich is a Managing Director with nearly three decades of experience in finance, consulting, and industry leadership roles, including: C-suite and interim management, turnaround and restructuring, portfolio management, operations, strategic planning, business analysis, performance improvement, and project management.
Recently, Rich was the CEO of a transportation company rollup, and a Portfolio Manager for a private equity fund, where he actively managed a portfolio of eight manufacturing, consumer product, and technology companies.
Rich was also a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal for 10 years – where he specialized in interim management, turnaround and restructuring, performance improvement, and M&A diligence. He was previously a Director in Zolfo Cooper’s (now Alix Partners), restructuring practice for five years.
His notable assignments include: serving as interim CFO of $100MM+ multi-channel vitamin / supplement manufacturer where he achieved an 18% reduction in labor costs, and managing the carve out of a mental health housing and care services company with 100+ locations across six U.S. states and establishing it as a new stand-alone for-profit company.
Rich has also developed in-depth financial and operational analyses to assist an aerospace component manufacture in lender negotiations, as well as created comprehensive pricing models, financial forecasts, and business plans for water cooler and electronic component manufacturing companies.
Rich has an M.B.A. from New York University, and B.S.B.A. in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from Xavier University. He is an INSOL Fellow of cross-border insolvency, Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), Certified Project Management Professional (PMI), and member of Turnaround Management Association.
