Jim Krueger

Jim is a Director in Accordion’s Turnaround and Restructuring practice with over 10 years of experience in strategic financial and operational advisory. He has provided services for clients including strategic business value creation plans; M&A due diligence; detailed financial statements analysis; SWOT and industry benchmarking and analysis; cash flow modeling; deal-based risk assessment reports; transaction valuations; and detailed financial modeling and earnings quality reviews.

Jim most currently served as the Controller and Vice President of Finance at Dividend Restaurant Group, parent company to Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Sullivan’s Steakhouse. There, he assisted in the restructuring and operational turnaround of Romano’s Macaroni Grill, including brand, financial and operations initiatives to increase efficiency, raise new capital and drive improved YOY growth while concurrently helping the company through a successful Chapter 11 reorganization Grill as well as the acquisition and strategic integration and operational turnaround of Sullivan’s Steakhouse.

Jim was the lead associate through the bankruptcy and turnaround of Logan’s Roadhouse, including the implementation of a comprehensive turnaround strategy for the brand and the rebuilding of the company’s platform and basic operations while concurrently working through a successful Chapter 11 reorganization and balance sheet restructuring.

He also currently serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association, whose mission is to assure the inclusion and enhanced independence of people with Down syndrome through education, resources and support in partnership with individuals, families, professionals, and the community.

Jim has assisted with many M&A deals, portfolio reviews, due diligence and financial assessments for private equity sponsors and strategic buyers including development of detailed transactional models, quality of earnings assessments, cash flow models and assisting in the disposition of under-performing assets.

Prior to joining Accordion, he served in several positions within the Financial Advisory industry, including Associate in Alvarez and Marsals’ Transaction Advisory Group; Financial Analyst for Houlihan Lokey and Senior Assurance Associate for Ernst and Young.

Jim graduated Cum Laude from St. Norbert College, Wisconsin with a B.B.A. in Finance. He also studied abroad at Lancaster University in England and is a Member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the TMA.
