Jim is a Senior Director with 25 years of experience advising companies on operational and financial issues, restructurings, and refinancings.
Prior to joining Accordion, Jim spent seven years in the Turnaround & Restructuring practice at Alvarez & Marsal, where he advised companies and large non-profit organizations through financial and operational restructuring processes, both out-of-court and through Chapter 11 proceedings.
Prior to joining A&M, Jim spent 16 years with middle market private equity firm First Atlantic Capital where he acquired and managed companies in the aerospace, automotive/truck supply, food/beverage, and consumer industries. He was an active board member and was deeply involved in the operations and financial management of portfolio companies, several of which involved complex financial and operational restructurings.
Previously, Jim spent two years with New York Consulting Partners, a boutique operations and strategy consulting firm that advised clients on overcoming operational challenges and maximizing financial performance.
Jim has extensive experience with liquidity forecasting, business plan development, cost savings analysis, and organizational changes. His experience includes working with global companies with operations in Europe, Asia, and South America. He has experience in a number of industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, retail, real estate, and professional services.
Jim graduated from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science.
